Sneeboer. Forged garden tools
The West Frisian smith Jaan Sneeboer and his descendants have been looking after their Dutch fellow-citizens for over 100 years now with a variety of high-quality stainless steel tools for the work on farm, dyke and market garden on which Holland depends. Keeping to the traditional shape, Sneeboer use two different types of steel: a high alloy variety to give greater strength to the socket and a lower alloy variety for the blade itself. The two parts are carefully welded together and polished – all by hand.

Today, the company's fortunes are in the hands of the eighth generation.
